RCIA / RCIA (Children)

A rite in the RCIA / RCIC process with Father McNamara presiding

RCIA - Rite for Christian Initiation for Adults - is an open-ended process of formation and education for those interested in the Catholic faith. RCIA is the normal process to become Catholic. If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining our Church Community, please invite them to come.

RCIA is a deeply spiritual journey that invites people to broaden and deepen their personal prayer life, to know God through Scripture, and to come to realize Jesus’ presence in their lives.

RCIA is designed to bring our faith journey into our hearts, not solely in our heads. The meaning and importance of the core principles and Sacraments of the Catholic Church are woven into the weekly sessions.

We invite anyone interested in becoming Catholic who is:
- Unbaptized or is baptized in some other Christian denomination or
- Baptized as a Catholic, but has not received First Communion (Eucharist)
- Needs Adult Confirmation
Also any person who is already Catholic or who is a “fallen away” Catholic is welcome to attend any session.

Throughout the year, various team members as well as our Priests and Deacons preside at the Wednesday evening sessions. Regular meetings will be every Wednesday evening in the Veranda room from 7:30pm to 9:30pm

The RCIA for Children program will begin on Sunday at 11am in the Veranda room.
Anyone interested in participating in RCIA, please contact the RCIA office at 340-2087.
